UMAN (UKRAINE): 10 kopeck brown & blue, good to large margins, tied by boxed "UMAN 3 JUNE 1858" (with "3" and "58" added in manuscript) to letter written entirely in yiddish (outer flaps partly missing), to Zhitomir. The stamp with tiny surface scratch in the lower frame line, otherwise very fine and fresh. A very rare No.1-usage; just one further entire has been recorded from this small place. KAZANSKAYA: 10 kopeck brown & blue, clear to good margins, used with almost complete strike of small red double line handstamp. Small imperfections. A rare and attractive usage from a tiny village. Signed Stolow and Mikulski with certificate (2007)

KAMENETS PODOLSK: 10 kopeck brown & blue, ample to large margins, showing part of neighbouring stamp at base, used with central and clear strike of boxed pre-philatelic handstamp to cover front (fold in the lower part broken and fixed). A rarity; the only recorded entire of this small city. Certificate Buchsbayew (2014)

ILLUXT (Latvia): 10 kopeck brown & blue, good even margins, used with central and clear strike of small straight line "ILLUXT" with adjacent double line date stamp, to lettersheet to Mühlenhof near Riga, with arrival mark. Cover folds not affecting the stamp. A rare and attractive entire. The only recorded with this pre-philatelic postmark and one of just 2 covers recorded from this small village. BALASHOV: 10 kopeck brown & blue, good even margins, neatly tied by pre-philatelic straight-line "BALASHOV" to entire letter, dated inside April 12, 1858, to Moscow. The stamp has been lifted for inspection and replaced, very fine condition. The only recorded No.1-entire from this small village. Certificate Buchsbayew (2016).

KIRSANOV: 10 kopeck brown & blue, good to large margins, tied by pre-philatelic double circle without date to lettersheet to the administration of the ROPIT at St. Petersburg. An attractive and rare entire; the only recorded of this small village.

TELSHI (Lithuania): 10 kopeck brown & blue, slightly touched at upper right, otherwise good to large margins, tied by dotted rectangular "183" to envelope with matching dispatch c.d.s. on reverse, to Wilno (Vilnius). Tiny parts of ink removed in the lower left margin of the stamp, otherwise fine. Very rare; just 2 other No.1-entires have been recorded from Telshi. Certificate Buchsbayew (2014)

DINABURG (Latvia): 10 kopeck brown & blue, good to large margins, used with central red circular postmark with dots in centre over a previous cancel, which had been washed and mostly removed, with slight surface aberrations at bottom. EKATERINOSLAV: 10 kopeck brown & blue, ample to large margins, tied by almost complete strike of boxed pre-philatelic handstamp to piece. Very fine. Signed Buchsbayew

VOLSK: 10 kopeck brown & blue, good to large margins, tied by boxed handstamp to entire letter to Saratov. The stamp just a tiny trace of unfreshness at upper right, otherwise very fine. TAUROGGEN (Lithuania): 10 kopeck brown & blue, large margins, tied by boxed  "TAUROGEN 28 MAR 1858" to lettersheet with reverse side oval handstamp "SPEDITIONS-GESCHÄFT JOHN G. KNIEP/TAUROGGEN", to Riga, with arrival mark. Supposed to origin from (most likely) German soil and forwarded. Just four similar entires with the Kniep handstamp have been recorded. PUCHEZHSKY POSAD: 10 kopeck brown & blue, nice  even margins, tied by complete and clear strike of pre-philatelic double line to envelope to Moscow. Very fine and rare; the only recorded entire from this small village. Certificate Buchsbayew (2013)

REVAL (Estonia): 10 kopeck brown & blue, nice large even margins, tied by boxed pre-philatelic "REVAL 26 APR. 1858" to letter sheet to Borga in Finland. Very fine and exceedingly rare. Certificate Buchsbayew (2014)

RIGA (Latvia): 10 kopeck brown and blue, good to large margins, tied by clear c.d.s. "RIGA 7 MAY. 1858", to letter sheet to Twer, with arrival mark. Lettersheet at base with light staining, otherwise very fine and attractive. Certificate Buchsbayew (2017)

RIGA (Latvia): 10 kopeck brown and blue, good to large margins, tied by clear dotted numeral "38" to letter sheet to Libau with reverse side dispatch mark "RIGA 9 SEP. 1858". Some minor staining, otherwise very fine and attractive. 1 of just 2 entires recorded with this cancellation. Certificates Eisold (2001), Mandrovsky (2003) and Buchsbayew (2016)

SLUTSK (BELARUS): 10 kopeck brown & blue, nice large margins, used with clear and almost complete strike of pre-philatelic straight line. Very fine and rare; the only recorded No.1 used in this small city. Signed Buchsbayew and Georg Bühler

RIGA (Latvia): 10 kopeck brown and blue, horizontal pair with good to large margins, tied by pen crosses to letter sheet to Pernau with reverse side dispatch mark "RIGA 10 FEB. 1858" and bilingual arrival mark. The right stamp with very minor and unobtrusive diagonal bend, still very fine and most attractive. An extremely rare franking. Certificates Mikulski (1995) and Citerne BPP (2026)

SARANSK: 10 kopeck brown & blue, good to large even margins, with central dotted rectangular "326" and adjacent dry strike of straight line "SARANSK", used on opened out envelope to Moscow.
