1926/70, Collection in album starting Turkey cancellations of Hodeida, first issues with 40 used stamps, few on piece, mainly good cancellations showing different types and cities, margin stamps, later issues mainly unused with complete sets, perforation varieties, many imperf issues, souvenir sheets, overprints ‘God, Imam & Country’ on stamps and S/S, air mails and Olympics, mostly very fine.
1901, UPU postal stationery card 4 ch. used from “Syen Chyun” with transit cds. “CHEMULPO 31 JUIL 03” to Paris, fine (Higgins & Gage-Nr. 2)
10 ch. neatly tied by cds. “SEOUL 6 SEPT 04” to envelope to USA with reverse arrival “BOWLING GREEN OHIO OCT 14 1904”, the back flap with small closed tear, still very fine and attractive
1900, Plum Blossoms 1 ch., horizontal pair of fresh colours, neatly tied by cds. “SEOUL 20 JANV 02 COREE” to illustrated postcard to Tokyo, interesting text in French “somewhat like Korea itself, moving at a tortoise´s pace and weighed down by the heavy masses of old baroque customs … Note that the Japanese sit on it!”, very fine
1895/98, Taegeuk 25 p. lilac-red, second printing, fresh colours, tied by bisected circle to envelope to Seoul with arrival cds. “SEOUL 29 UIL 02” alongside, the adhesive one short perf at bottom, of no importance, still fine

A rare and early UPU cover, signed with certificates Robineau (2011) and Scheller (2011)

1858, Folded tissue-paper envelope bootlegged from Smyrna, Turkey to Boston, carried by Capt. Watson ‘Ship Henry Hill’ with 122 bales madder roots, ms. “Via Trieste” inside, letter with embossing and black sender cachet F.C. Blackler Smyrna on reverse. At arrival in US Franklin 1 c. blue type V tied by black “PAID” in circle to envelope and red “Boston Mass. Nov/12” arrival cds. on front. Tiny file fold, otherwise Very Fine and a scarce usage.
1951, Ho Chi Minh 2 d. brown, type I, fresh colours, tied by cds. “QUANG TRI VIETNAM” to small envelope to a city in the Quang Tri province, the adhesive revalued at 20 dong (tariff of late 1950/early 1951), alongside VNDCCH red censor “IV5”, mail seized in the interzone by French army (blue and red pencil marks), very rare usage
1956/58, four airmail covers to Germany with various combination frankings, all with departure cds. “HANOI”, mostly fine
1945, Independence Issue, 1 c., 3 c., 6c., 10 c. and 15 c. tied by cds . “HA-NOI TRUNG-UONG 8 11 46” to local envelope, fine, also a second local envelope with combination franking used with “HANOI R.P. TONKIN”, some occasional perf toning otherwise fine

1853, QV 8 d. orange-yellow, horizontal pair, well margins on two sides, minimally touched at left and right, tied to foreign letter fragment by barred oval mark and three different cancellations alongside, including boxed ‘INSUFFICIENTLY/STAMPED’ and CALAIS 27/AOUT/55 cds. in black, COLONIES & ARTiJ in orange, fresh colours, attractive and very fine.

1897/99, Diamond Jubilee, New Designs the unused collection from 1 d. carmine (shades) to 2½ Prussian blue (shades), wmk. Crown over NSW, with 1 d. five blocks of four showing shades, 2 d. three blocks of four deep dull blue, ultramarine and cobalt-blue, 2½ d. purple with singles and two blocks of four, a splendid collection
1851/1910, Collection on eight self made album leaves, mostly used, starting imperf issues with duplicates, specialized with many perforation varieties and colour shades, margin stamps and watermark varieties including inverted wm., good cancellations and two stationery envelopes, one official. Some occasional faults, reprints noted and mixed quality.
1905/07, The unused collection on two leaves with, ½ d. shades and block of four, 1 d. dull rose, 2 d. cobalt-blue, 8 d. magenta, 10 d. violet, 9 d. brown and yellow-brown. A good lot.
1852, Lithographed by Thomas Ham 3 d. blue, imperforate, 3rd State of the dies, a used vertical left marginal pair with ample to large margins on three sides and showing portions of both adjoining stamps at right, touched on top, tied by barred oval obliterators in black to piece. Vertical pairs in this issue are significantly rarer than horizontal ones, very fine.
